Aside from his charmingly good looks and killer dance moves, did you know that TVXQ's Yunho is also an inventor?

Just today, the K-pop star has registered a new patent for a special mask he designed.

According to the Korean Intellectual Property Office, Yunho filed a patent for his face mask design on March 3 and was then registered more than 10 days later.

The news was also confirmed by Yunho's agency, SM Entertainment.

The mask design Yunho applied for has an opening in the middle with a cover that allows the person to open and close the opening. Therefore, users will still be able to drink beverages by opening the cover even while wearing the mask.

The singer shared the news on Korean news agency SPOTV News, “I wear face masks often and I thought, 'Is there a way for me to quickly and easily drink water while wearing the mask?'

“So, I ended up registering a patent.”

This isn't the first time Yunho registered a patent under his name.

In 2017, the TVXQ leader proudly showed off the patent he received for his invention -- a double cup that can insert a flavored capsule --- in the show Happy Together 3.

During the show, Yunho said, “In the past, I used to say that my hobby is invention.

“At that time they were probably thinking he's only saying that to show off. But that's what I really like doing.

When asked if he ever thought of commercializing the product, he replied, “My goal was to own a patent. So, I didn't bother with commercializing it.”
